ANTISCIA June/2012
/For about 2,000 years antiscia and contra-antiscia have been recognized to show connection and sympathy between planets and signs. Planets in antiscia reflect or mirror one another across the cardinal axis. Favored by Uranians, these perfectly symmetrical arrangements, which fall equi-distant from any of the four zero cardinal points (0 Cancer/Capricorn and 0 Aries/Libra), add insight to the day's expression, in addition to making a valuable statement in a natal chart and in synastry between charts.
The cardinal axis marks the turning of the seasons at the solstice and equinox. Sometimes referred to simply as the Aries Point, the cardinal axis is important because everything on earth is affected by seasonal change, and it is through this point that each one of us connects to the world; it is a factor we all share.
To use this list, simply blend the meanings of planets in combination. Bold dates indicate the strongest day for a particular planetary expression. Dates showing only one planet indicate its ingress into a Cardinal sign, i.e. it is sitting directly on the Cardinal axis, and so should feature prominently that day. Those marked with an asterisk are antiscia formed around the midpoint of two Cardinal signs, the midpoint being 15 degrees Fixed. Those with a (c) indicate contra-antiscia and are a symmetrical arrangement around the Aries/Libra axis.
